Oita Airport:
The airport nearest to Beppu is Oita Airport. It has excellent connections to major Japanese cities.
From Oita Airport, it takes about 50 minutes by bus to Beppu station and costs JPY1,500 one way.
International flights are available only through Seoul, South Korea. We recommend to check with airlines for the latest information.
Fukuoka Airport:
Fukuoka Airport is the second option for reaching Beppu.
A direct bus connection to Beppu is available from Fukuoka Airport. (JPY3,250, about 2-hour ride)
It is highly recommended to book online in advance.
